Circle 8’s next dance is our annual benefit dance for Sleep in Heavenly Peace (https://shpbeds.org/).  This organization has a local chapter in the Wichita area where they have built and supplied many beds to youth in the Wichita and the surrounding area.  Dancers are encouraged to bring twin size bedding or blankets.

Tammy Gough and her “Angels” will be calling the dance with Mike Turner performing rounds.  All dance proceeds go to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.  Rounds with Mike start at 5:30pm with Mainstream dancing starting at 6:00pm.  Dancing at the Park City Senior Center at 6100 N. Hydraulic Ave, Park City, KS.

Please join circle 8 on May 11 for a fun evening to celebrate our mothers for Mothers day. What better way than to host an ice cream social! There will be lots of ice cream and various toppings to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Mike Turner will be leading us with the rounds starting at 5:30pm. Tammy Gough will begin the squares at 6pm.
If that is not enough – this will conclude our “Music makes the Square go Round” trivia games all season. All participants will be eligible for a variety of door prizes given out throughout the night.

Circle 8 is pleased to welcome a Hays, KS new caller – Jennie Kirk — to lead us in a fun evening of square dancing. Mike Turner will join her to start us off with a nice selection of Two-step and Waltz rounds. We meet at 5:30pm to start with pre-rounds with square dancing beginning at 6pm at Park City Senior Center, Park City, KS.

Circle 8 is sad to inform our annual WASCA (Wichita Area Square Dance Callers Association) benefit dance has been canceled for Jan 12, 2025. Ole’ man winter delivered more snow this week making travel and parking conditions a little more treacherous.

Please look forward to our next dance on February 9. This is the Superbowl dance afternoon dance at 1:30pm for rounds with Mike Turner and 2:00pm for squares with Allen Hahn. This is also at a different location – West Heights United Methodist Church – West side door ‘D” – 745 N Westlink Ave, Wichita, KS.

On Jan 26, please plan to attend the KSDA January Meeting and Dance at Croco Hall, Topeka, KS with Lanny Weaklend calling and cueing. The dancer meeting starts at 1:00 pm and the Dance is from 3:00-5:00pm. KSDA Members are $7 and KSDA members are $9 to attend.

Circle 8 is pleased to host Jonathan Marshall from Oklahoma City for our next dance on Sunday, November 10. Jonathan is a full time musician in Oklahoma that does a great job call square dances as well. In between dance tips, Jonathan will entertain the crowd with some of his song selections for listening or dancing pleasure.

Circle 8 is hosting a summer dance on Sunday, June 23, 2024 from 2-4pm at Park City Senior Center. Tammy Gough will be calling both mainstream and plus. Please join us for a great summer special!

Update – owing to the extreme weather conditions, Circle 8 has decided to cacncel the Jan. 14 dance.  We invite you to our next dance on On Sunday, Feb 11.

January 14 starting the new year off right by supporting our Wichita Area Square Dance Callers Association with a benefit dance. The Wichita Area Callers and Cuers are sharing their time with Circle 8 to allow square and round dancers the opportunity to hear them. All proceeds from the dance will be donated to the WASDCA group for their use in supporting the dancers.
Pre-rounds start at 5:30pm with Squares starting at 6:00pm at the Park City Senior Center, Park City, Kansas!

Tammy Gough and her Angels along with Mike Turner will be helping Circle 8 with a benefit dance with all proceeds going to Sleep in Heavenly Peace – a Sedgwick County non-profit organization to build beds a provide to families in need – led by our Circle 8 Members Rich and Susan Neu.  You can also bring twin bedding or a quilt for dance entry.

Dance starts at 5:30pm with Rounds and 6:00pm for mainstream.  Multiple callers will be sharing their talents.

Circle 8 is pleased to welcome back Jim Howard from Oklahoma City for both Plus and Mainstream dancing. Jim starts us off with pre-plus at 5:30pm, with mainstream beginning at 6pm. We will not have any Round dancing at this dance.
Dancing is at Park City Senior Center, Park City Kansas on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. We look forward to everyone enjoying a great evening.

SUPER dance at a SUPER time with a SUPER caller and SUPER cuer! Sunday Feb. 12 we will start rounds at 1:30 with Mike Turner and squares from 2:00 to 4:30 with Allen Hahn. Please note this is a change from our previously scheduled time and caller. Same SUPER location at the Park City Senior Center. Join us for some fun dancing and we will send you home in time for a SUPER game.. Feel free to come dressed to support your favorite team if you don’t feel like wearing pink.
