2024 November 10 – Jonathan Marshall

Circle 8 is pleased to host Jonathan Marshall from Oklahoma City for our next dance on Sunday, November 10. Jonathan is a full time musician in Oklahoma that does a great job call square dances as well. In between dance tips, Jonathan will entertain the crowd with some of his song selections for listening or dancing pleasure.
Join us at 5:30pm for pre-plus and 6:00pm for mainstream on Sunday, November 10 at Park City Senior Center, 6100 N. Hydraulic, Park City, KS.

2024 January 14 – WASDCA Benefit Dance – Canceled

Update – owing to the extreme weather conditions, Circle 8 has decided to cacncel the Jan. 14 dance.  We invite you to our next dance on On Sunday, Feb 11.

January 14 starting the new year off right by supporting our Wichita Area Square Dance Callers Association with a benefit dance. The Wichita Area Callers and Cuers are sharing their time with Circle 8 to allow square and round dancers the opportunity to hear them. All proceeds from the dance will be donated to the WASDCA group for their use in supporting the dancers.
Pre-rounds start at 5:30pm with Squares starting at 6:00pm at the Park City Senior Center, Park City, Kansas!

2023 Dec 10 – Circle 8 Benefit Dance

Tammy Gough and her Angels along with Mike Turner will be helping Circle 8 with a benefit dance with all proceeds going to Sleep in Heavenly Peace – a Sedgwick County non-profit organization to build beds a provide to families in need – led by our Circle 8 Members Rich and Susan Neu.  You can also bring twin bedding or a quilt for dance entry.

Dance starts at 5:30pm with Rounds and 6:00pm for mainstream.  Multiple callers will be sharing their talents.

2023 March 12 – Jim Howard is in Town

Circle 8 is pleased to welcome back Jim Howard from Oklahoma City for both Plus and Mainstream dancing. Jim starts us off with pre-plus at 5:30pm, with mainstream beginning at 6pm. We will not have any Round dancing at this dance.
Dancing is at Park City Senior Center, Park City Kansas on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. We look forward to everyone enjoying a great evening.

Feb 12, 2023 – Super Bowl Special!

SUPER dance at a SUPER time with a SUPER caller and SUPER cuer! Sunday Feb. 12 we will start rounds at 1:30 with Mike Turner and squares from 2:00 to 4:30 with Allen Hahn. Please note this is a change from our previously scheduled time and caller. Same SUPER location at the Park City Senior Center. Join us for some fun dancing and we will send you home in time for a SUPER game.. Feel free to come dressed to support your favorite team if you don’t feel like wearing pink.

October 9, 2022 Jonathan Marshall and Mike Turner

Please join Circle 8 on Sunday, October 9 as we welcome Jonathan Marshall from Oklahoma City calling squares and Mike Turner leading us in rounds. This will be an excellent dance to a great set of talent. Jonathan may also bring along a special guest! Roundsstart at 5:30pm with Squares beginning at 6pm until 8:30pm. This will be Circle 8’s only dance in October as we celebrate our theme of “Orange you glad to be dancing”.

11 September, 2022 – A New Dance Season Begins

Join us on September 11, 2022 as we kick off a new Circle 8 Dance Season. Our season theme this year is “Color Your World with Dancing”. Each month we will be featuring a color and if you wear that color during the month at one of our dances, you will be entered into a drawing at our May dance for one of many prizes.

Mike Turner will be starting with pre-rounds at 5:30pm with our own Tammy Gough starting squares at 6:00pm. Dances are held at the Park City Senior Center in Park City, Kansas — just North of Wichita on I-135.

2022 Aug 28 – Sunday Afternoon dance

Please join Circle 8 and Merry Go-Rounders as Tammy Gough and Kevin Denning host a mainstream dance with rounds on Sunday afternoon at the Park City Senior Center. The dance starts at 2:30 with rounds in between. Kevin will be having pre-rounds starting at 1:00pm.

These dances have been focused on mainstream to allow people to brush up on their dancing while enjoying the social benefits of dancing. We have been enjoying a great turnout for these dances.
